Mermaids ~ Paper Dolls
My latest mission was to create some ATC size (being able to fold up into an ATC sized envie) paper Art Dolls for a trade at atcsforall.com . I eventually decided to create Paper Mermaid Dolls.
The first thing I did was draw the basic shape of a Mermaid. Once I was happy with the overall shape I then segmented her. Into pieces that could be then fastened with brads and make ‘joints’ that are moveable. (That way she can fold up into the envie.) Now I had my little Mermaid ‘bits’ that I could trace around to create the Mermaids.
Once I cut out each piece I then coloured them with Acrylic Paint (for the torso)Prismacolor Pens, Prismacolor Pencils, Ink, White Gel Pens and some glitter. I created 4 dolls. Purple, Blue, Pink and Aqua.
~Template~
Here is the template for the Mermaid Dolls I created. (open the pic and select ‘save as’ and save to your computer) You can resize the template to whatever size you need. Have fun with the template and please remember that it is (C) to me, so feel free to use it for your artwork (even to make sales items) but Please DONT sell the template or distribute in any way.
